Resocialization of Convicted Persons through Vocational Education in the Penitentiary System of the Republic of Tajikistan and Prison-EXPO

On September 17, 2025, a roundtable discussion on “Resocialization of Convicted Persons through Vocational Education in the Penitentiary System of the Republic of Tajikistan and Prison-EXPO” was held at the Serena Hotel in Dushanbe. Following the roundtable, an exhibition was held in the garden of the Serena Hotel, showcasing products made by inmates in correctional institutions across the country, as well as artworks created during the art therapy sessions.

The roundtable and exhibition were organized by the Main Directorate for the Execution of Criminal Sentences of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tajikistan, in partnership with the Swiss Cooperation Office in Tajikistan, the United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF), the Representation of the Institute for International Cooperation of the German Adult Education Association (DVV International) in Tajikistan, the Public Organization Human Rights Center, and the Public Foundation “Tashabbusi Huquqi”.
