Training on human rights and monitoring for the Tajik police

The Association for the Prevention of Torture (APT) will run a training co-organized with the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) on human rights and monitoring on 15-16 December in Dushanbe, Tajikistan

In addition to law enforcement agents from various police forces and representatives from the Home Ministry, participants will also include staff members of the Ombudsman’s office and civil society representatives who are part of the Coalition against Torture.

The training aims at reinforcing the human rights dimension of policing and to sensitize law enforcement officials to the importance of independent monitoring.
