A two-day training for prosecutors of the Republic of Tajikistan was held in Dushanbe, focusing on on issues related to the investigation of torture and ill-treatment.

The training was organised by the PO «The World of Law» in partnership with the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Tajikistan within the framework of the project «Path to Justice: Strengthening Human Rights through the Prevention of Torture and Reform of the Penitentiary System», funded by the European Union.

The programme was practice-oriented and covered issues related to the investigation of torture and ill-treatment, procedural response, inter-agency cooperation, as well as the application of international and national standards in prosecutorial practice. European Union in Tajikistan
